If you are looking for a home with street appeal then this is it!! As we pulled up we realized this home was special.

Walking up the stairs of this palatial home we were greeted with one of the grandest foyers yet. Once again another home with natural light coming in through the front windows. Event though this is becoming very familiar it really makes a difference to how you perceive the size of the property.

Walking through the foyer we reach a fantastic Great room with a huge entertainment centre with a beautiful ceramic tile fireplace on the left hand wall.

The kitchen is one that I can see would be a pleasure to prepare meals in and includes an eating/dining area, island with extended countertop, raised nook, walk-in pantry, granite countertops and maple cabinetry. There is a sliding door near the pantry that leads you back towards the front of the house where there is a small bathroom and the entrance to the garage. I really like this feature as the distance to the pantry from the car is really short.

As we head upstairs we realize we are yet to see the laundry…..

At the top of the stairs we are greeted by what I would call a reading nook. A nice little spot to read a book maybe?

There are 2 good sized bedrooms with built in robes which are great for hiding all of the kid’s toys and a nice three piece bathroom.

Ah….The laundry. At first we are a little confused as to why a laundry would be upstairs…..After all how would you hang your wet clothes on the clothes line? Coming from Australia the laundry was always downstairs and close to a door. After thinking about it we realize, Of course!!! you can’t hang your washing outside in -40 and we start to feel a bit stupid.

The last part of this tour end with the master bedroom. A great walk in closet is at the entrance to the ensuite which is well equipped with a great soker tub.

I think we would be very comfortable living here.

  1. Pictures would be nice... but more importantly some way to provide directions. Of course its probably in a flyer of some sort...but I didn't it, and couldn't find directions on the internet.

  2. Thanks for your comment. Directions to homes can be found in the Fall 2010 Parade of Homes magazine, which can be picked up at any Steinbach Credit Union or at the show homes themselves. It was also distributed in the Winnipeg Free Press in select areas of Winnipeg.

  3. I like the introduction of a pocket door to close off the mud room.
