366 Sage Creek Boulevard – A two storey home which is an attractive alternative to condominium living.

Am I in San Francisco? There is a “San Fran” look to the traditionally styled homes along this section of Sage Creek Boulevard. Stone stairways lead you to two storey homes with front porches and a maintenance free front yards (all loose rock). This particular house has a lovely bay shaped extrusion (living room) and a small to medium sized porch.

Inside, the living room features a lovely gas fireplace with maple mantle with room on that mantle for a LCD screen as large as you would like. On either side of the fireplace are deep shelves, complete with hidden wiring to the mantle/TV area. The flooring throughout the main floor is a “distressed” look laminate which is quite attractive.

The dining room and kitchen are at the back of the house. The dining room is bright and spacious. It has a large window which looks out to the patio area and double car detached garage. The kitchen has solid maple cupboards and an island. There is a handy built in desk near the back door which could be used as a computer workspace. The two piece lavatory is at the back door.

The master bedroom is above the living room and therefore has the same bay shape. The windows are large and allow plenty of natural light into the room. There is a walk in closet and the three piece master ensuite has a walk-in shower with seat. The other two bedrooms are a medium size and overlook the back yard.

The basement is unfinished but the plumbing has been roughed in.

I could really see myself, a single person, living very comfortably in this home. It makes good use of floor space and the rooms are all warm and cozy. The layout is perfect for entertaining. The maintenance free yard (front is completely loose rock, back has a small deck and extended stone patio with only a patch of grass) would be welcome for anyone who likes to lock the door and go on holiday. If you’re single, empty nesters, newly married, this would be an excellent home to park your slippers at.
